Black Eagle in Prešov
Black Eagle is a block of urban buildings in the historic center of Prešov with a long and glorious tradition. In the past there was a city redoubt, theater and restaurant, which used to serve as a hotel for prominent visits to the Šariš metropolis. Among a numerous number of guests we can mention a famous Russian commander M.I. Kutuzov, one of the winners over Napoleon, or equally of excellent general Suvorov, the commander who in his extremely energetic career has not suffered even a single defeat. Other important personalities of Slovak history advisable to appoint are Štúr and Jozef Miloslav Hurban, who talked here during the Revolution 1848 - 1849 to the East Slovak crowd, giving them courage in turbulent times. Black Eagle is today the seat of PKO Prešov.
